First Spouse Bronze Medal Set: This four-medal set includes one each of the 2010 1 5/16-inch First Spouse Bronze Medals, which bear the likenesses of this year’s First Spouse Gold Coins.
The medals are packaged in Mylar®, inserted into a folded card containing product information, and placed in a custom-made envelope. The four medals in this set feature Abigail Fillmore, Jane Pierce, Buchanan’s Liberty and Mary Todd Lincoln.

This is the fourth year of the First Spouse Gold Coin Series. This series features images of the Nation’s first spouses on one-half ounce, 24-karat $10 gold coins, issued in the order they served as first spouse.
Abigail Fillmore: The obverse, designed and sculpted by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Phebe Hemphill, features a portrait of Abigail Fillmore. The reverse, designed by United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program Master Designer Susan Gamble and sculpted by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Joseph Menna, depicts her shelving books in the library that she established at the White House.
Jane Pierce: The obverse, designed by United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program Master Designer Donna Weaver and sculpted by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Don Everhart, features a portrait of Jane Pierce. The reverse, designed by United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program Master Designer Donna Weaver and sculpted by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Charles L. Vickers, depicts her listening to debates in the visitor’s gallery of the Old Senate Chamber in the U.S. Capitol Building.
Buchanan’s Liberty: The obverse features a reproduction of the Liberty Head Quarter Eagle designed by Christian Gobrecht. The reverse, designed by United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program Associate Designer David Westwood, depicts President Buchanan as a young man working as a bookkeeper in his family’s small country store.
Mary Todd Lincoln: The obverse, designed and sculpted by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Phebe Hemphill, features a portrait of Mary Todd Lincoln. The reverse, designed by United States Mint Artistic Infusion Master Designer Joel Iskowitz and sculpted by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Phebe Hemphill, depicts her bringing flowers and books to wounded Union soldiers.
