2006 American Eagle Silver Proof One Ounce Coin (Z66)

The American Eagle Proof Coins are collector versions of the official United States Mint American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins. The Silver Proof Coin is only available in the one-ounce size. The obverse design is Adolph A. Weinman’s full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the American flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left hand. The reverse design, by United States Mint sculptor/engraver John Mercanti, features a striking heraldic eagle with shield, and olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left talon. The 2006 American Eagle Silver Proof Coin is packaged in a blue velvet, satin-line presentation case and accompanied by a custom-designed Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Acting Director of the United States Mint.
